Along with writing several works in Mathematics and having a great interest in Esperanto, Bourlet wrote several publications on bicycles, including Traité des bicycles et des bicyclettes, suivi d'une application à la construction des vélodromes (1895).

Thanks for letting me know a close picture of Dr. Bourlet's grave. He was a brilliant editor for the early Esperanto culture. And he was a popular lecturer among girls, as one can see at http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_Bourlet#/media/File:Robert-Bourlet.jpg which is just one of a series of caricatures of his time's French Esperanto activists.

Korpo pulviĝas sed pluvivas ties idearo. A very nice inscription, Esperanto for "A body becomes dust, but its ideas survive".
